Hello my name is Jim. Welcome to my Nutrition and Health blog.
I became interested in Nutrition and healthy dieting back in 2006. I was about 25 pounds overweight and looked about ten years older than my actual age. I felt and looked terrible and decided I needed to change my habits. Immediately, I made a few changes to my diet including only drinking water. This was a huge change because at least one glass of Pepsi had been my routine as far back as I could remember. Surprisingly, my weight had dropped from 210 down to 192 after about three weeks. Around that time I befriended someone who was heavily into Nutrition. He began teaching me a few things and recommended a few products. Instantly, I was hooked and to this day I’ve stuck to a healthy regiment. Today, people think I’m 10 years younger my actual age. And my friends nickname me “Health Jim” because I became such a fanatic.
WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE
I’ve had family members die prematurely because of heart conditions and diabetes. I believe certain things could have been prevented if they had healthier habits. I felt frustration when my advice wasn’t heeded so I’d like to use this blog as a means to potentially help someone and change their life.
THE GOAL OF MY SITE
I would like to make recommendations regarding nutrition and diet based on my personal experience. After 12 years of trying different products and methods I believe I have a wealth of knowledge to share.
